360 CARLA Career Symposium: Call for companies

Thu, 07.05. – Fri, 08.05.2026, Burgdorf

Invitation of Swissphotonics member companies and companies involved in Green Photonics

The “360 Carla career Symposium” with focus on Green Photonics applications (see the Links below) will be the ideal platform for networking between students and industry. Students and young academic researchers will get insight into their carrier opportunities in the Photonics Industry and will have the chance to discuss directly with representatives from your company. All interested companies are welcome, even if their relation to green photonics is only indirect, like a laser manufacturer, whose lasers are not directly green products, but can be applied for additive manufacturing, photovoltaics, battery production, or sensing applications, etc...

The event will be held on 7th/8th May 2026 at Berne University of Applied Sciences (BUAS /BFH), Burgdorf, Switzerland. Companies will have the opportunity to advertise themselves with their own booth or a tabletop from BFH. They can attract new young professionals and see what their competitors and other photonic companies are offering.

The Symposium will be organized by Swissphotonics in cooperation with the Berne University of Applied Sciences in the framework and with partial funding of the EU-Project 360 CARLA. We expect students and young researchers from all Swiss universities (EPFL, ETH, Uni Bern, Uni Neuchatel, Uni Genf, Uni Basel, Uni St. Gallen, FHNW, FH-Ostschweiz, BUAS/BFH Burgdorf).
