FAOSI - Automated surface analysis according to ISO 10110-7

FAOSI is a fully automatic inspection system for the standard-compliant analysis of optical surfaces. With a measurement time of less than 0.3 seconds, FAOSI reliably detects defects such as scratches, inclusions and surface defects - exactly in accordance with ISO 10110-7. Thanks to state-of-the-art image processing, intelligent evaluation logic and flexible measurement strategies (single or multiple measurements), FAOSI delivers reproducible, highly precise results - independent of the operator and ideal for inline or standalone use.

His focus is on solution-oriented customer support, efficient project management and the combination of technical depth with market-oriented communication.

Dr. Christian Bosshard, Managing Director Swissphotonics
Dr. Christian Bosshard received his degree in Physics (1986) and his doctorate (1991, Silver medal award) from ETH. From 2001-2021 he was working at CSEM, first as Section Head and then as Vice President and Head Photonics. Since 2013 he is Managing Director of Swissphotonics. Christian is a Fellow of Optica, former Board Member of EPIC, and Member of the Board of the University of Basel.
